Job Description

The role of the Project Manager involves overseeing the implementation of a compliance framework across all business units within an organization.

As part of this, you will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive assessment of current data privacy policies, systems, and processes to identify gaps against regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with various stakeholders, including Legal, Risk, IT Security, Compliance, and Business Units, to define and implement appropriate controls for data collection, storage, access, and sharing.

This includes developing data mapping and inventory to identify all personal data processed by the organization, establishing governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths to ensure compliance tracking and accountability.

You will also manage vendor relationships and third-party assessments related to data processing and privacy, as well as design and facilitate training and awareness programs for staff on data protection principles and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the compliance framework.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current data privacy policies, systems, and processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and implement controls for data collection, storage, access, and sharing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing regulatory or compliance-driven projects, preferably in the financial services sector.

They must have an in-depth understanding of data privacy regulations and strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Able to translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable business processes, with experience in change management and business process re-engineering being an advantage.
