Financial Operations Manager

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the financial health and stability of an organization. The Financial Operations Manager oversees the entire financial spectrum, from monitoring transactions to developing processes that facilitate decision-making at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting by reviewing balance sheets and profit and loss accounts on a monthly basis.
  2. Guarantee that all General Ledger balances are reconciled and supported with backup files.
  3. Maintain a timely closing of books on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
Process Improvement
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to evaluate requirements for process improvement.
  • Develop new processes or enhance existing ones based on business needs.
Reporting and Compliance
  • Prepare channel partner-wise profit and loss accounts for analysis of business decisions.
  • Provide timely data to compliance teams for regulatory filings such as GST returns and RBI filings.
Stakeholder Management
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings during the onboarding of new channel partners.
  • Offer support and suggestions during stakeholder meetings for setting up new processes.
  • Conduct regular meetings and follow-ups with stakeholders to ensure timely data submission.
Team Management
  • Participate in selection processes to identify suitable candidates for finance and accounts team positions.
  • Determine individual training needs and develop plans to build expertise and enhance accounting knowledge within the team.
  • Set objectives, conduct reviews, and close appraisal processes for the team according to timelines.
Assistance to Auditors
  • Meet with auditors to provide insights into overall processes and financials.
  • Offer timely data and extensive support to auditors for prompt completion of audits.
Tax Knowledge

The ideal candidate should possess experience in direct and indirect taxation.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum qualification required: Chartered Accountant.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in revenue accounting for retail customers.
  • Candidate must have a clear understanding of accounting concepts and adjustments.
  • Candidate should be proficient in Excel and accounting software like SAP, NAV, Oracle, Tally, etc.
  • Candidate should be capable of handling large volumes of data.
