Breakwater Specialist Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled Breakwater Specialist to join our port development project in Kerala, India.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and constructing breakwater systems, including rubblemound, vertical, and hybrid breakwaters, to ensure the protection of port infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and construct breakwater systems that safeguard port facilities from damage caused by wave action.
  • Oversee port expansion projects, ensuring timely completion, budget compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Apply knowledge of hydrodynamics, coastal erosion, and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
  • Collaborate with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HSE guidelines and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact during construction.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in breakwater construction, port development, or coastal engineering projects.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics, and coastal processes.
  • Ability to manage large teams and foster collaboration across departments to achieve project objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Coastal Engineering Certification (desired but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in the Kerala region or on Indian port development projects.
