We are seeking an accomplished professional to fill the role of Housing Legal Officer.
About the PositionThe ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying matters requiring SARFAESI action, handling all legal aspects of debt recovery through SARFAESI action, and assisting in developing strategies and procedures for effective debt recovery.
This position involves maintaining and preparing legal MIS for assigned areas, providing quarterly reports on legal recoveries, attending arbitration meetings, court receiver meetings, drafting notices under the SARFAESI Act, possession notices, and suit for redemption of mortgage.
The successful candidate will handle all SARFAESI compliance matters, coordinate with external agencies for execution of various stages of the SARFAESI Act, and maintain and safeguard collaterals in accordance with the SARFAESI Act.
This role requires coordination with enforcement agencies and local police during physical possession of mortgaged properties, ensuring prompt resolution within the legal framework.
The candidate should stay up-to-date with the latest developments, trends in local law, best practices in collections, security creation, and loan documentation.
