Software Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our quality assurance team as a Software Quality Assurance Specialist.

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing & Quality Assurance

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and be proficient in test automation tools and frameworks.

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG).
  • Build and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines.
  • Create automated API tests using tools like Postman, REST Assured.
  • Maintain test automation frameworks and improve test coverage.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

The successful candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective.
  • Contribute to improving testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, Cypress).
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
