Academic Program Director

An essential role in higher education responsible for overseeing and developing programs in film production, directing, screenwriting, and related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Faculty and Staff Management:

Industry and Community Engagement:
  • Establish partnerships with industry leaders, production houses, and film organizations to enhance opportunities for students and faculty.
  • Organize guest lectures, workshops, and networking events to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Budget and Resource Optimization:
  • Effectively manage the department's resources to optimize efficiency.
  • Oversee film studio operations, equipment procurement, and technology upgrades to ensure effectiveness.
Strategic Planning and Vision:
  • Develop long-term goals and strategies for department growth and development.
  • Stay updated on global cinema trends and emerging technologies to inform teaching and research.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in academic administration or operations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with academic management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
