Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IP Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of intellectual property strategies across various business clusters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A graduate or postgraduate degree in engineering (mechanical, electronics, automotive, or material science) is required. Possession of WON, WIPO DL101, DFSS, and Qualified Patent Agent Exam certifications would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 18 years of experience in intellectual property management. Key responsibilities include:

  1. To drive intellectual property culture and initiate actions to de-risk designs and products.
  2. To analyze patent and competitor portfolios using relevant tools and data analytics for effective search and analysis.
  3. To provide state-of-the-art analysis as needed, collaborate with IP attorneys, legal associates, and close IP FTO opinion reports in a timely manner.
  4. To review and recommend FTO decisions for IP tests.
  5. To plan and conduct BOM FTO reviews for new product development at the product level across automotive technology domains.
  6. To implement best-in-class practices, standardize processes, and enhance productivity through digitalization.
  7. To release periodic IP alerts, address concerns from stakeholders, build conviction with stakeholders, and manage projects/business clusters independently.
  8. To plan and conduct freedom-to-operate searches, state-of-the-art search analyses on LRP/advanced technology, and trigger timely protection of all forms of IP across major global jurisdictions.
  9. To remain updated with industry best practices and use state-of-the-art tools for IP searches across multiple jurisdictions.
  10. To resolve claim interpretation issues in FTO with stakeholders and collaborate with the legal team for effective disposal.
