Shadow Teaching Role

EAS is seeking a dedicated and skilled Shadow Therapist to join our team. As a Shadow Teacher, you will have the opportunity to develop your communication, professional, and therapeutic skills while working collaboratively with a team of therapists. Your commitment to helping children reach their full potential will be evident in your ability to provide valuable support to students with diverse needs.

  • Implement individualized education plans and school curriculum
  • Assist students in understanding tests, projects, and assignments
  • Design and implement behavior intervention plans at school and center
  • Practice naturalistic environment teaching (NET) in various settings
  • Analyze and collect data on student performance
  • Identify student needs and communicate with supervisors
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress
  • Facilitate social activities and community integration for students
  • Evaluate data to inform teaching strategies
  • Participate in ongoing ABA training and workshops
  • Communicate with parents regarding student progress and program details
  • Suggest classroom accommodations and modifications for students
  • Promote inclusion and participation in school activities
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities (preferred)
  • Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) or Applied Behaviour Analysis Technician (ABAT) certification (desired)
  • Clear police checks, Working with Children checks, and current first-aid and CPR certificates
  • Ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and EAS supervisors
  • Extensive knowledge of special needs and individualized education plans
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, education, child development, special education, or related field
  • Related experience preferred
