Lead IP Expert Sought

We seek a seasoned and accomplished expert to oversee complex intellectual property (IP) matters. This role demands in-depth knowledge of both national and international IP laws, exceptional client focus, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end IP portfolios, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs, ensuring seamless execution from inception to conclusion.
  • Advise clients on strategic IP planning, protection, enforcement, and commercialization to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • Prepare and file comprehensive IP applications (national & international), oppositions, assignments, and licensing agreements that meet exacting standards.
  • Represent clients with aplomb in IP litigation and enforcement actions before key authorities, including IPO, IPAB, and courts.
  • Conduct meticulous IP due diligence, freedom to operate (FTO), and infringement analysis to safeguard clients' interests.
  • Forge effective partnerships with external counsels, authorities, and international associates to navigate cross-border IP challenges.
  • Lead by example, mentoring junior team members to foster growth, development, and excellence in service delivery.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, legislative amendments, and case law pertinent to IP rights, ensuring continued expertise and relevance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LL.B / LL.M) with a strong foundation in IP law; registered patent agent status is an added advantage.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in IP law, preferably within a law firm or in-house legal team.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and research skills, coupled with exceptional communication, leadership, and client-handling abilities.
  • A proven track record in managing intricate IP portfolios and high-stakes litigation.
