Job Title: Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Specialist

Job Summary:

The disaster recovery specialist is responsible for executing and supporting the enterprise IT disaster recovery and crisis management process. This includes developing and implementing a business recovery plan, reviewing and revising existing plans and protocols, and conducting risk assessments to identify potential business disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements a comprehensive business continuity plan to ensure minimal disruption in the event of an emergency.
  • Conducts thorough risk assessments to identify potential business interruptions and develops strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to review and revise existing business continuity plans and protocols.
  • Creates and facilitates practice drills to test the effectiveness of business continuity plans.
  • Develops and tracks metrics to measure the success of business continuity initiatives.
  • Maintains and updates business continuity and crisis management tools.
  • Collaborates with health, safety, and security staff to align emergency management plans with industry best practices.
  • Supports response coordination and communication during business disruptions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5-9 years of experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Strong understanding of disaster recovery processes and procedures.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

• Proficiency in cutover tool.
