Highly Skilled Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure for production systems.

The successful candidate will have expertise in industry-standard tools and technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash, Ruby, and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure for production systems using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to build reliable and efficient services that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain tools for system monitoring, alerting, and incident response to ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and manage incident response to minimize downtime and optimize recovery times.
  • Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks or failure points to inform optimization efforts.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Advocate for reliability, availability, and performance best practices throughout the engineering teams.
  • Document processes, architecture, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance with expertise in industry-standard tools and technologies.
