Job Title: Professor / Associate Professor / Asst. Professor
Reports to: Director- Academics
Location: Mumbai
Job Purpose:
The primary role of a faculty member is to contribute to the academic mission of NMIMS by engaging in teaching, research, and service. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive educational teaching plan in alignment with the school's specifications. Responsibilities include conducting classes, offering academic guidance and counseling to students, actively participating in departmental committees, and consistently enhancing the curriculum through assessment, applied research, scholarly activities, and other relevant contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform teaching, tutorials, practical, seminars, and research work with dedication and commitment.
Adhere to the Act, Statute, and Ordinance, Rules & Regulations of the University and respect its ideals, vision, mission, cultural practices, and tradition.
Cooperate and assist in carrying out educational responsibilities, such as assisting in appraising applications for admission, advising and counseling students, and assisting in the conduct of university and college examinations and evaluation.
Assist in preparing Session PPTs, pre-reads, reading material, video links, reference articles, case studies, additional curated content, numerical data (if applicable), blogs, and reference news feeds.
Faculty members are expected to participate in administrative, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities and other duties assigned by the Dean/Director/Pro-Vice Chancellor/Vice Chancellor as part of their duty.
Maintain accurate records of students' academic standing and provide final grades, attendance, and other information as required by administration.
Create educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, term papers, question bank preparation, etc.).
Evaluate assignments and supervise PG projects submitted by students.
Strive for continuous professional growth through study and research;
Maintain active membership of professional organizations and contribute to improving education and the profession through them.
Faculty members are required to fulfill their workload as per the stipulated University norms.
Contribute to the development and revision of academic programs and courses.
Stay updated with advancements in teaching and incorporate relevant content and teaching methodologies into courses.
Collaborate with colleagues to design new programs or improve existing ones.

Passionate about teaching with the ability to build relationships with students and create a mutual trust environment. Teaching experience and evidence of effective pedagogical approaches. Calm, patient, communicative by temperament, and amiable in disposition. Exhibit responsible behavior and demeanor. Professional attitude and strong work ethic. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Requirements- Education & work experience:
Preferred to have a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) or pursuing Ph.D. and/or Master's Degree in a relevant discipline.(Information Technology/ Marketing/ Business Strategy/ Operations & Supply chain/ Behavioral Sciences & Communication/ HRM/ Business Analytics/ Finance & Accounting/ Business Statistics / Economics/ Digital Marketing/ Legal)
Proven work experience of 5-10 years in teaching, research, or significant professional experience as a Subject Matter Expert with visiting teaching/training exposure. Teaching experience in Distance Education is an added advantage.-
