Database Specialist

As a seasoned Database Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex relational databases to meet the business needs of our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency, integrity, and availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Design and Development: Utilize industry-standard tools and methodologies to design, develop, and maintain complex relational databases.
  • SQL Query Optimization: Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to improve database performance.
  • ETL Pipelines: Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data integration and transformation using tools like Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, and SSIS.
  • Data Modelling: Design and implement data models (normalized and denormalized) for transactional and analytical purposes.
  • Database Security and Performance: Monitor, maintain, and improve database security, integrity, and availability to ensure optimal performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4+ Years of Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in database development and management.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL and major RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
  • ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, Snowflake.
  • Cloud-Based Databases: Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
