Role & responsibilities

Database Management: Administer, optimize, and maintain relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).

Data Warehouse Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions to support reporting and analytics.

Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize query performance, indexing, and storage management for efficient data retrieval.

Backup & Recovery: Implement robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.

Data Security & Compliance: Enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance measures (such as RBI regulations and GDPR).

ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Operations: Develop, manage, and optimize ETL processes for data migration and integration.

Data Analytics Support: Collaborate with BI teams to enable efficient data-driven decision-making.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of database processes, architecture, and best practices.

Technical Support: Provide database support for application teams and troubleshoot performance issues

Preferred candidate profile

Experience: 6-8 years of experience as a Database Engineer in the lending domain, preferably with exposure to Loan Against Property and Loan Against Securities.

Educational Background: Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields.

Database Technologies: Proficiency in Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar databases.

Data Warehouse Tools: Experience with Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or similar platforms.

Loan Management Systems: Prior experience working with LMS solutions within an NBFC or financial institution.

BI & Reporting Tools: Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView for financial data analysis.

Scripting: Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell for automation
