Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the data platform team, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data platform.

About the Role

The purpose of this job is to develop, implement, and maintain large-scale data processing systems, ensuring seamless end-to-end transformation from raw data to insightful data products shared across the organization.

You will collaborate closely with data product teams to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring the platform supports a wide range of data initiatives.

This role requires strong expertise in ETL, data processing using SQL, and extensive experience working in the Databricks environment.

Requirements
  • A Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field with 4-7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in ETL, data processing using SQL.
  • Extensive experience working in the Databricks environment.
  • Proven experience in data warehousing, data modeling, data architecture, and building data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud platform Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with other big data technologies and tools.
  • Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
  • Develop relationships and processes with finance, sales, business operations, analytics, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices highly appreciated.
  • Experience in FinOps added advantage.
