Technical Author for Aircraft Maintenance Manuals

We are seeking a skilled technical author to create, revise and maintain aircraft maintenance manuals in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing accurate maintenance procedures from engineering drawings, specifications and other technical documents.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Author and revise amm tasks for airbus aircraft programs including sa, lr, mb and xwb.
  • Ensure compliance with ata iSpec 2200, S1000D and ASD-STE100 standards.
  • Use airbus-specific tools such as GIPSY, GIDOCa, SAP, ZAMIZ, Dacas and PDM Link.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design and quality teams to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Conduct peer reviews and provide guidance to junior authors and illustrators.
  • Maintain documentation quality and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in amm authoring for airbus aircraft.
  • Strong knowledge of ata chapters related to airframe and systems.
  • Familiarity with airbus documentation standards and tools.
  • Excellent written communication and technical writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with s1000d-based authoring.
  • Exposure to agile or lean documentation processes.
  • Certification in technical writing or aviation maintenance (optional but advantageous).
