Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to join our team at bhx. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing category-wise assortment plans, coordinating with vendors, monitoring stock levels, and analyzing sales trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Assortment Plans: Ensure an optimal product mix by creating and executing category-wise assortment plans.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work closely with vendors to select, order, and receive products in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, identify fast- and slow-moving items, and plan replenishments to maintain healthy inventory turnover.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze sales trends and consumer behavior to optimize category performance and profitability.
  • Demand Planning: Execute demand planning and forecasting to meet sales targets while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed MIS reports for sales, inventory, and overall category performance.
  • Replenishment Scheduling: Manage auto purchase order scheduling and monitor timely replenishments.
  • Category Promotion: Collaborate with store teams to drive category-specific promotions and initiatives.
  • Assortment Gap Identification: Identify assortment gaps and new opportunities within the lingerie and nightwear categories.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3–6 years of experience in retail category management, merchandising, or planning.
  • Background: Background in apparel, fashion, or FMCG retail is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong Excel and data analysis skills for inventory and sales planning.
  • ERP/POS System: Experience with ERP/POS systems such as Ginesys is an added advantage.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Teamwork and Proactivity: Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
