Key Role in Payroll Management:
- Effective management of weekly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients requires a deep understanding of payroll compliance.
- Ensure adherence to the checklist, generating ad-doc reports to analyze payroll data.
- Meet all schedules/deadlines established, ensuring timely delivery of outputs to clients.
- Maintain and publish periodic dashboards for quality assurance purposes.
- Quality assurance of payrolls prepared by payroll administrators involves variance analysis and reconciliation of data.
- Provide comprehensive solutions to all payroll-related queries from internal account holders and clients.
- Meeting stringent standards set out in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) is crucial.
- Monitoring submissions of RTI FPS, EPS, and year-end submissions to HMRC as per set deadlines is essential.
- Preparation and sending of form P30 & P32 to clients every month after validating PAYE liability is critical.
- Knowledge of calculating and processing statutory pay such as maternity pay, paternity pay, sick pay, and adoption pay is required.
- Understanding of statutory and non-statutory deductions such as tax, NIC, student loan, attachment of earnings, and pensions is necessary.
- BACS processing for employee and HMRC payments and submissions of third-party remittance to various pension providers is part of the role.
- Calculating net over/under-payments from historic pay runs and sending required schedules to clients is also required.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience managing and processing UK payroll is required.
- Proficiency in English communication and clear concise expression of ideas is essential.
- Internal and external client needs should be prioritized, and clients should be communicated with effectively.
- Remaining calm and focused under pressure while delivering on commitments with a sense of urgency is vital.
- Integrity, doing the right thing, and building positive working relationships with energy are essential qualities for success.
- Structured thinkers who anticipate and solve problems are highly valued in this role.
