Job Title: Transaction Legal Expert

About the Role

This position is responsible for providing legal guidance and support relating to corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and other financial deals. The primary focus is on ensuring smooth and efficient deal-making, with expertise in equity capital market transactions, private equity, IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, and OFS.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide comprehensive legal support, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, managing transaction timelines, and overseeing due diligence processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal guidance on equity capital market transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and private equity investments.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate general commercial contracts to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Manage transaction timelines, oversee due diligence processes, and identify potential risks.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, FEMA Regulations, and RBI Circulars/Notifications.

7-10 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or as an in-house counsel with experience in equity transactions, mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and demergers.

Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree and Graduation in Arts/Commerce.
