BIM Manager Job Description

This is a leadership role that oversees the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across multiple projects. The BIM Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing BIM execution strategies, protocols, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement BIM execution plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead a team of BIM specialists and coordinate with multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Oversee BIM project delivery for infrastructure, buildings, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with national and international BIM standards.
  • Integrate BIM with project management, design, cost estimation, and construction workflows to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Manage BIM software platforms and coordinate with IT for upgrades and support, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Conduct quality assurance/quality control checks on BIM models and outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Drive innovation in digital engineering by adopting new technologies, automation, computational design, and digital twins.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and support to BIM coordinators, modelers, and project teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in BIM, with at least 12 years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Strong expertise in BIM platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Dynamo, and related digital tools.
  • Experience in handling large-scale infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of BIM standards, LOD specifications, and coordination processes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
