CAD Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and delivering projects through various stages of design.

The successful candidate will be working in a collaborative environment to develop engineering drawings in accordance with relevant standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing engineering drawings for infrastructure schemes using AutoCAD, MicroStation and other software.
  • Contributing to the design process and actively working on multiple projects at any given time.
  • Liaising with design teams to coordinate design and drawing production.

Key Competencies / Skills:

Mandatory Skills:

  • Ability to utilize AutoCAD or MicroStation in adherence to defined CAD standards.
  • Proven ability to work up drawings from Engineers basic sketches to full working drawings.
  • Ability to liaise with design teams as necessary to coordinate design and drawing production.
  • Proficient in use of standard office software.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Civil 3D.
  • UK Highways project experience and knowledge of UK design standards is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • A ITI or Diploma in Engineering level qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 3-7 years relevant post-graduate experience.
  • Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation user certification.
