Software Development Manager Role

This position entails leading the development of innovative services to enhance employee experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build new systems, leveraging AI to improve digital workplace experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in building and leading high-performing software engineering teams, as well as a proven track record of developing enterprise-level systems and applications.

  • Driving architectural decisions for next-generation systems and services
  • Adopting latest technologies, including agentic AI and LLMs
  • Designing scalable, secure systems handling sensitive data
  • Building frameworks for autonomous operations with enterprise-grade controls
  • Partnering with AWS teams on emerging AI capabilities
  • Guiding ML/AI-powered solution development for pattern detection and process optimization

Key responsibilities include:

Team Leadership Responsibilities
  • Supporting massive-scale GREF operations and transactions
  • Leveraging ML/AI to detect patterns and optimize operations
  • Automating complex workflows across multiple systems
  • Transforming manual processes into autonomous operations
  • Driving continuous improvement through data-driven insights
Technical Complexity
  • Building observable, auditable automation systems
  • Creating flexible integration patterns across modern and legacy systems
  • Implementing robust testing and governance frameworks
  • Scaling solutions across global operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 8+ years of leading multi-tier web services development
  • Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks development life cycle practices and patterns
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, experience with agile methodologies, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.
