Financial Operations Specialist

The primary role of this position is to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, particularly in foreign exchange and derivatives. The individual will be responsible for handling trades with precision and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
The key accountabilities of this position include:
- Ensuring the error-free processing and settlement of interbank and corporate foreign exchange trades;
- Reconciling all trades with the source system on which they were concluded;
- Providing correct contract notes to customers for trades executed through brokers by the end of each business day;
- Timely reporting of trades to regulatory bodies as required;
- Maintaining daily balances in nostro and current accounts;
- Preparing and sending confirmations to customers for trades concluded;
- Responding to and resolving queries raised by concurrent auditors;
- Monitoring nostro reconciliation published by controls unit and clearing unreconciled entries tagged to the department;
- Preparing various management information systems (MIS) for senior management;
- Preparing brokerage information and payment on a monthly basis for onward submission to heads of department;
- Developing recommendations for continuous improvement and supporting the bank's strategy for streamlined processes and digital transformation;
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-4 years' experience in treasury and market operations in a banking or corporate environment;
- Graduation degree; professional qualifications such as MBA (Finance) or FRM are desirable;
- Strong team-player with ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks;
- Good command over Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.;
- Product and working knowledge of treasury products and operations;
