Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and configure Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) to meet the security requirements of our clients.
  • Develop and implement firewall policies, security rules, and access controls based on industry best practices and security standards.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring, management, and optimization of Palo Alto firewall configurations to ensure effective threat prevention and network security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Palo Alto firewalls with other security technologies.
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to clients and internal teams on Palo Alto Networks firewall features and capabilities.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigating security incidents and implementing remediation measures.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and proactively recommend security enhancements and updates.
  • Document firewall configurations, policies, and procedures, and contribute to the development of security documentation, standards, and guidelines.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide training sessions on Palo Alto Networks technologies and security practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing Palo Alto Networks firewall solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewall platforms and hands-on experience with firewall configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with network security best practices, threat prevention mechanisms, and security operations processes.
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals, protocols, and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Industry certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent certifications in network security and cybersecurity are preferred.
