Job Title: Financial Operations LeadAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Head Accountant to lead our finance and accounting operations.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling end-to-end accounting for consumer brands, especially in high-growth environments.Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounting Function Oversight: Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, payroll, and inventory accounting.
  • Closing of Books: Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books.
  • Compliance: Maintain clean and compliant financial records in line with Indian Accounting Standards / IFRS.
D2C-Specific Financial Management:
  • Online Sales Platform Accounting: Manage accounting for online sales platforms, including reconciliation of payouts, returns, and commissions.
  • Customer Refunds and Chargebacks: Track customer refunds, chargebacks, and promotions across multiple channels.
  • Logistics Costs and Expenses: Monitor logistics costs, warehousing expenses, and fulfillment-related accounting.
Taxation & Compliance:
  • Statutory Compliance: Oversee all statutory compliance, including GST, TDS, PF/ESI, Income Tax, and ROC filings.
  • Audits and Inspections: Work with external auditors, CA firms, and government bodies for audits and inspections.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis:
  • Annual Budgets and Forecasts: Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts with insights into sales, margins, and operational expenditures.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, and present actionable insights.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting. CA preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a D2C or e-commerce environment.
  • Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP).
