Job Overview:

The Principal Legal Counsel will be a key member of the Legal Department, collaborating with experienced legal professionals to provide expert legal and compliance solutions to businesses.

This role requires a seasoned legal professional with 14/18 years' relevant experience in a legal and compliance capacity.

They will possess expertise in corporate compliance programs, including understanding their essential elements and advising on them. Additionally, they will have knowledge of global investigations, negotiation, and implementation of remediations, as well as experience handling corporate compliance operational objectives.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will have exposure to key compliance and regulatory regimes applicable to our organization, including whistleblower regulations, anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, and confidentiality and commensurate processes and controls.

They will also possess analytical skills relating to business processes, data, and interpersonal relations, as well as experience in public speaking and business presentation. Moreover, they will have independent project management skills and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and adopt a comprehensive Infosys Whistleblower Program globally and regionally, comprising seven pillars of an efficient and effective corporate compliance program.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and negotiate remediations for global investigations.
  • Contribute to the Compliance & Integrity Plan and its reviews, preparing action plans, resolving problems, identifying trends, and determining system improvements.
  • Review and enhance whistleblower systems and employee feedback mechanisms in collaboration with HR.
  • Plan and conduct trainings and communications to improve and expand the whistleblower program according to industry best practices.
  • Derive policy administration, training, and regular communications proactively.
  • Effectively handle complaints, investigations, and remediation processes.
  • Collaborate with various functions, including facilities, government relations, finance, and sales and delivery functions, to support organizational expansion agendas.
  • Advise on public policy, working closely with the Government Relations team.
  • Support company positions by developing responses and defenses to complaints, investigations, and administrative proceedings.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising executive management teams accordingly.
