Research Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to provide evidence-based insights and inform global climate policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and data analysis on focus areas such as energy transition, climate change mitigation, and sustainable development.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality analytical research reports, policy papers, discussion papers, and articles on various aspects of climate change.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources to support research initiatives, including academic journals, government reports, and industry publications.
  • Oversee projects and discussions, including planning, budget management, and coordination responsibilities.
  • Establish a network of industry participants, collaborate with partners, and other influential stakeholders to enhance events and communication efforts.
  • Search for and review published literature on a research topic, identifying key findings and implications for policy and practice.
  • Supervise undergraduate project interns or other personnel on research-related tasks, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
  • Assist with manuscript or grant development, ensuring high-quality writing and formatting.
  • Prepare reports or presentations, summarizing key findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Organize events, seminars, and workshops, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among experts and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A master's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, sustainability, or energy economics.
  • A PhD in the given domain is an added advantage.
  • 13+ years of work experience in research, policy, or related fields.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with expertise in data analysis tools such as SPSS, R, Python, NVivo, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work/lead as part of a team as well as on own initiative, with strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Excellent relationship skills and team ethics, with ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Authored at least 2 scholarly research publications and/or multiple op-eds during the last five years.
  • Ability to adapt to new environment and deliver under tight deadlines in a professional environment.
