SAP ILM/Archiving Solution Architect.

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned SAP ILM and Data Archiving expert to design, implement, and support SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) and data archiving strategies across complex SAP landscapes. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your deep technical expertise in SAP Data Volume Management (DVM), hands-on experience with ILM components, and strong understanding of compliance, retention, and system decommissioning practices to drive business success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Design and Implementation of ILM Retention Management Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive ILM retention management strategies, including Legal Hold, Case Management, and ILM Blocking, to ensure seamless data management and compliance.
  • Ensure System Decommissioning Compliance: Conduct system assessments to identify DVM opportunities and define archiving strategies that meet data retention and audit requirements.
  • Analyze and Mitigate Archiving Impact: Analyze and mitigate the impact of archiving on business processes and system performance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Implement Archive Objects and Metadata Management: Implement standard and custom archive objects, manage archive metadata, and ensure ADK file handling integrity and accessibility.
  • Troubleshoot and Provide Solutions: Troubleshoot archiving issues, provide solutions for open item closures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems.
  • Integrate Nearline Storage and Archive Servers: Integrate Nearline Storage (SAP IQ) with archive servers and SAP systems, including administration and support.
  • Utilize PBS Tools for Enhanced Capabilities: Leverage PBS tools such as NAA, Archive Add-on, and Content Link to enhance archiving capabilities and improve data management efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in SAP ILM Legal Hold, Case Management, and ILM Blocking in S/4HANA environments.
  • Good experience in SAP Data Volume Management (DVM), including at least 1 year in an S/4HANA environment.
