Senior Technical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our team in Bengaluru or Gurgaon, India. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated plumbing systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

• Designs and develops advanced plumbing systems for various building types, incorporating the latest technologies and innovations to ensure high performance and efficiency.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise, focusing on HVAC system optimization and energy efficiency.
• Develops comprehensive study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others, including detailed specifications and guidelines.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables, collaborating with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects, taking into account factors such as materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS E package, including feasibility studies, concept designs, and detailed designs.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings, ensuring adherence to local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and other relevant regulations.
• Prepares technical specification sections, outlining the requirements and specifications for materials, equipment, and services.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements, working closely with project managers and stakeholders.
• Lects HVAC system design for complex commercial, residential, and data center projects, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues and clients.
• Conducts energy modeling and analysis to optimize HVAC system performance, using software tools such as eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or IES-VE.
• Collaborates with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions, incorporating sustainability and energy efficiency principles.
• Develops and implements sustainable design strategies to meet energy efficiency goals, reducing environmental impact and operational costs.
• Oversees the selection and sizing of HVAC equipment and components, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and other relevant regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and best practices.

• Master of Engineering degree or equivalent education in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Should be well-versed with ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA standards and regulations, with a strong understanding of HVAC system design and operation.
• Should have experience in commercial, residential, datacenter, and infrastructure projects from different geographies (USA, Canada, ANZ Region), with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
• Experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer - Specialized in HVAC Design, with a strong background in HVAC system design, commissioning, and operation.
• Should be capable of leading discussions with the Client and lead projects for the HVAC Disciplines, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Should be able to take Design decisions independently, with a strong understanding of business operations and financial management.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, with a strong commitment to continuing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar BIM tools, with experience in energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or IES-VE).
