Job Overview:

This role focuses on technical management within EHV and HV cable design. We seek an expert with a proven track record in leading teams and implementing effective strategies to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical review of sourcing requests from internal customers to ensure alignment with our supply chain strategy
  • Design of high-voltage cables to meet specific customer requirements
  • Collaboration with internal customers to optimize their sourcing requests based on our capabilities
  • Reviewing customer inquiries and converting them into actionable sourcing requests
  • Performing technical clarifications with our suppliers to ensure quality standards are met
  • Conducting short circuit calculations using Excel to determine wire screen/metal sheath size
  • Calculating ampacity using CYMCAP to define/verify conductor sizes
  • Calculating drum lengths using an Excel tool
  • Checking and accepting technical data sheets from our suppliers
  • Recording prequalification and type test coverage of cables offered by suppliers
  • Ensuring all documents provided to external customers align with our marketing strategy
  • Preparing Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) with our suppliers
  • Preparing the technical part of contracts
  • Reviewing and accepting Quality Records from suppliers
  • Witnessing in-process, routine, and sample tests
  • Preparing type tests
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree preferably in electrical engineering
  • 4 years of experience in EHV and HV cable design
