Electrical Design Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Electrical Design Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have 9-12 years of experience in similar industry for Lead Member and 14-18 years of experience in similar industry for Leader.

The role requires strong technical skills in electrical design, including selection of components, knowledge of fieldbus communication protocols, and understanding of human safety devices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 2-4 members for Lead Member and 10-15 members for Leader, with key responsibilities including selection of components, generation of terminal detail, and preparation of signoff documents.

The candidate will also be expected to review electrical drawings, prepare lists of makes and architectures, and conduct functional analysis and risk analysis.

Key authorities include work allocation to members, communication with suppliers, and delegation of work to members.

Responsibilities
  • Selection of Components: PLC, VFD, Servo, Drives, Sensors, Switchgears, Relays
  • Knowledge of Fieldbus Communication Protocols: Ethernet TCP/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Serial Communication Schematic Diagram, Signal Line Diagram
  • Basics of Human Safety Devices: Light Curtains, Area Scanner, Gate Switch
  • Team Management
  • Projects Involving Conveyors, Robot Cells, and Special Purpose Machines
  • Understanding and Review of Electrical Drawings
  • Preparation of Lists of Makes and Architectures
  • Preparation of Budgets and Signoff Documents
  • Functional Analysis and Risk Analysis
  • Design Review
  • Critical Bought-out (CBO) Listings and Releases
Requirements
  • BE/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation
