About this role:

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to join our Risk and Identity team. As a Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy, design, and deployment of risk programs, while adapting to evolving payment and threat landscapes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in delivering mission-critical resilient distributed systems with high availability based on the Java platform.
  • Design and implement distributed systems using Java Vertx platform, Kafka messaging, RDBMS persistence, and Container platform.
  • Collaborate with architects to create resilient software solutions.
  • Mentor team members to foster career growth and enhance team productivity.

Requirements:

15+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or advanced degree.

Demonstrable experience as a People Manager in a software engineering environment.

5+ years in a leadership and management role managing Managers.

Extensive experience with designing and implementing distributed systems using Java Vertx platform, Kafka messaging, RDBMS persistence, and Container platform.

Proficiency in designing resilient software solutions in collaboration with architects.

Familiarity with GenAI and its practical applications.

Proven ability to enhance team productivity and adapt to strategic or tactical approaches as per the situation.
