Job Overview

The Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy of our financial records and ensuring timely preparation of financial statements for our Indian entity.

  • Accurately process transactions and data entry on the system
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis
  • Own reconciliations of accounts with the general ledger, considering accruals and provisions
  • File tax returns and VAT reports
  • Ensure seamless monthly closing activities, including data validation, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Collaborate with team members to monitor asset disposals, additions, and movements
  • Issue periodic reports as required
  • Prepare data for internal and external audits
  • Coordinate and follow up on necessary data from various departments
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, corporate tax filings, and MCA reporting
  • Coordinate and support external audits, internal audits, and tax assessments
  • Monitor and manage month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
  • Perform variance analysis and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, and government bodies as needed
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing, and record-keeping of all financial transactions
  • Support implementation of accounting systems and ERP SAP tools, contributing to process improvements
