
Head of Cleaning Operations

Job Description:
The Head of Cleaning Excellence is responsible for developing and implementing all cleaning operations across a corporate campus. This role involves managing a team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for cleaning services that aligns with overall objectives.
- Establish performance metrics to measure and improve cleaning quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the budget for the cleaning department, including labor costs and equipment procurement.
- Forecast and manage capital expenditures for cleaning equipment and operational expenditures for consumables.
Operational Excellence and Quality Assurance:
- Implement standardized cleaning protocols and procedures for all facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Leverage technology to optimize workflows and track service delivery.
- Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues or complaints promptly.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage a team of cleaning staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Develop and deliver training programs covering best practices and safety protocols.
- Create and manage work schedules and monitor team performance.
- Handle all aspects of HR, including recruitment, hiring, and professional development.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Implement infection prevention and control measures to maintain a healthy work environment.
- Regularly review and update safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cleaning schedules and safety compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in cleaning or facility management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing budgets, vendors, and teams.
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and industry best practices.
- Expertise in health, safety, and sanitation regulations and compliance.
