Senior Lead Petrophysicist

Job Description

The Senior Lead Petrophysicist will lead petrophysical evaluations across exploration, appraisal, and development wells ensuring high-quality data acquisition and reservoir characterization. This role involves advanced log interpretation core-log integration and application of digital/AI techniques to optimize reservoir understanding and investment decisions.

Petrophysical evaluations are crucial for understanding the subsurface geology and identifying potential hydrocarbon reservoirs. The Senior Lead Petrophysicist will be responsible for leading a team of petrophysicists in conducting these evaluations using advanced technologies and techniques.

The Senior Lead Petrophysicist will also be responsible for mentoring junior professionals in the field of petrophysics ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct complex petrophysical evaluations.

In addition to technical expertise the Senior Lead Petrophysicist must possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Geology Physics or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in petrophysical evaluations
  • Proven track record of successful petrophysical evaluations and reservoir characterization
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
