Legal Counselor Job Summary:

The Legal & Regulatory Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding intellectual property, and facilitating agreements and collaborations.

This position contributes to the institute's mission by navigating complex legal landscapes and protecting its interests.

  1. Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and laws, providing expert legal guidance to the organization.
  2. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely responses.
  3. Draft, negotiate, and finalize Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), agreements, and contracts with collaborating institutions and stakeholders.
  4. Oversee documentation related to grants, research funding, and arrangements with various corporate partners.
  5. Collaborate with IP lawyers to develop and finalize IP policies, licensing agreements, and privacy policies.
  6. Handle various corporate and institutional legal matters as required.
  7. Preference for candidates with experience in higher education institutions and NGOs.
  8. Manage litigation, arbitration, and other legal proceedings involving the institute/university.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Law from a reputable institution.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with universities preferably in Maharashtra.
  • Experience handling regulatory compliance.
