Job Title: Director of Training and Development

Job Description:
  • Develop comprehensive training programs to align with long-term business objectives.
  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of training initiatives that are forward-thinking and in line with industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Training Program Planning & Execution:
    1. Oversee the development of training initiatives that enhance learning efficiency and outcomes.
    2. Provide leadership by managing and mentoring Managers and AMs to drive performance excellence within the training function.
  2. Leadership & Team Development:
    1. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by guiding trainers and process coaches to meet organizational goals.
    2. Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to align training strategies with broader business objectives.
  3. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement:
    1. Implement quality management practices across training programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
    2. Drive innovation in training methods by introducing cutting-edge solutions and staying ahead of trends in learning and development.
Key Competencies:
  • Strategic Leadership: Align training initiatives with company strategy and execute high-level goals through actionable plans.
  • High-Level Mentorship: Coach and develop senior team members to enhance leadership capabilities within the training function.
  • Change Management: Manage change and drive transformation within training programs, processes, and teams.
  • Innovation & Adaptability: Adopt and implement cutting-edge training solutions while remaining adaptable to business needs and external trends.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze data to drive improvements and measure training effectiveness.
Experience Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in training operations, process coaching, or quality management.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role, ideally within the HCC industry.
  • Extensive expertise in HCC coding systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coding Certification – AAPC/AHIMA
  • Proven experience in a senior management role overseeing a team of managers, trainers, or quality leaders in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
