Job Summary

As a member of the IT Asset and Renewals Management Team at Rocket Software, you will play a critical role in maintaining a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and documentation. This position requires a strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Practice (CMP) strategies, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective ITAM and CMP strategies, including policies and processes based on industry best practices.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and maintenance contracts within the CMDB.
  • Manage Rocket's assets, such as software licenses, vendor contracts, and hardware, throughout their lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, usage, renewal, retirement, and disposal.
  • Conduct timely compliance audits and publish management reporting on findings, making recommendations for improvement and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide accurate and timely management reporting on the health of the ITAM and CMP processes, including asset usage details, and contribute to developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), program Critical Success Factors (CSFs), and metrics for ITAM and CMP.
  • Ensure Rocket's compliance with license agreements, relevant legislation, industry regulations, and organizational policies related to assets.
  • Monitor the performance of all ITAM and CPM processes and contribute to the ITAM and CPM Continuous Service Improvement Plan.
  • Manage Rocket's Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data accuracy, and provide governance on creating and maintaining Configuration Items (CIs) and relationships within the CMDB.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to all IT team members in all aspects of ITAM and CPM.

Requirements

  • One to three years of IT Asset and Renewals Management experience in a fast-growing global organization with a demonstrated pattern of increasing responsibility.
  • Extensive knowledge of ITAM and Service Management tools, including Jira, Jira Insight, Confluence, ServiceNow, Oracle, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing, including Microsoft and Oracle.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and think out of the box while paying attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, and emotional intelligence.
  • ITSM Certification – ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience working in a culturally and geographically diverse team in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience implementing, supporting, and improving ITIL best practices, including IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Practice, Change Management, and Problem Management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of the following technologies: Hardware (Laptops), End-Point Management (Active Directory, SCCM), Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • ITIL Specialist: IT Asset Management (ITAM).
  • ITAM Certifications.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt.

Education

  • Degree preferred.
