Job Description:

The role of Data Integration Specialist is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of data integration platforms. This involves monitoring queues, applications, and overall system health to identify potential issues before they impact operations.

This position requires a strong understanding of data integration concepts, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data mapping, and data quality. The successful candidate will have experience with tools such as DataStage, Informatica, or similar technologies.

The Data Integration Specialist will be responsible for performing proactive monitoring of data integration systems, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner, and providing clear visibility into system performance and support activities through daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with end-users and team members. They will also have the ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation and reports.

In addition to technical skills, the Data Integration Specialist will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing permanent solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain data integration systems to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
  • Perform proactive troubleshooting and issue resolution to minimize downtime and improve system stability.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports to provide clear visibility into system performance and support activities.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for known errors and frequently occurring service requests.
  • Provide extended support during critical periods and weekends as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a DataStage Administrator or similar technology.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work in specified shift hours and provide extended support during critical periods.
