About the Role:

  • This is a senior leadership position that will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction and success of our Chemistry tutoring program.
  • The successful candidate will lead a team of dedicated Chemistry tutors, ensuring that they deliver high-quality instruction and support to students of varying levels and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine the Chemistry curriculum in collaboration with the academic leadership team.
  • Provide guidance and support to Physics tutors, including lesson planning, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
  • Coordinate professional development opportunities for Chemistry tutors, including workshops, seminars, and peer observations.
  • Oversee the tracking of student progress and performance in Physics.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders regarding student progress, program updates, and upcoming events.
  • Manage departmental resources effectively, including instructional materials, technology tools, and learning resources.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of Chemistry instruction across all classes and programs.
  • Be a part of the Frontline action and actively teach a set of students enrolled.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sciences from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid Teaching certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in the relevant subject areas. Experience of teaching with the International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE with demonstrated expertise in the subject area.
  • Previous leadership experience in an educational setting. Team lead, head, etc.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Proficiency in educational technology tools.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in Chemistry education. Knowledge of curriculum and instruction. Ability and willingness to teach online and/or in a hybrid context as necessary.
