Information Security Leader Job Description

Cvent, a global leader in meetings, events, and hospitality technology, is seeking an experienced Information Security Leader to join their team.

About the Role

This senior cybersecurity professional will be responsible for leading regional security initiatives and managing day-to-day operations of the company's India-based Information Security team. Key responsibilities include collaborating with Global Information Security leadership to maintain and implement comprehensive information security strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Provide executive-level support for regional security risk assessments and treatment activities, as well as security operations.
  • Lead and mentor the Cvent India Information Security team to ensure alignment and operational consistency between global and local teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within the Information Security team.
Key Responsibilities:

Security Strategy & Operations:

  • Collaborate with global peers to develop and maintain information security strategies that align with business goals.

Application & Cloud Security:

  • Provide oversight and technical support for adoption of security best practices in software development and cloud security.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Oversee compliance efforts with industry standards and regulations relevant to global SaaS operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, with a Master's degree preferred. Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CCSP are highly valued.
