Chief Database Architect

This role offers the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in database development and administration. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with a team of intelligent and innovative individuals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL). They will also design scalable, high-performance, and normalized database schemas based on business requirements.
- Skill Requirements:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
- Designing scalable, high-performance, and normalized database schemas based on business requirements.
- Writing, optimising, and maintaining complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
- Monitoring and tuning database performance using indexing, partitioning, and query optimisation techniques.
Personal Qualities:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in database development and administration.
- Proficient in PostgreSQL or MySQL (experience with both is a plus).
- Strong command of SQL and database optimisation techniques.
- Experience with database schema design and data modelling.
- Understanding of data security and compliance standards.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
