Database Architect (DBA)

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a crucial role in shaping the future of database architecture.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in database design, optimization, backup strategies, security, and administration. They will be experts in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server, and will have a deep understanding of query tuning, performance optimization, and indexing strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage high-performance, scalable PostgreSQL database systems.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and other techniques.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and disaster recovery through effective backup strategies, replication, and failover mechanisms.
  • Monitor database performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
  • Implement best practices for database architecture, including partitioning, sharing, and clustering.
  • Perform regular database health checks, patching, and version upgrades.
  • Manage users, roles, and database access permissions to ensure data security.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in database design, optimization, backup strategies, security, and administration.
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
  • Relevant certifications.
  • Strong proficiency in designing and optimizing databases.
  • Experience with database replication, partitioning, clustering, and sharding.
  • Proficiency in query tuning, performance optimization, and indexing strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL-specific features.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL backup and restore processes.
  • Knowledge of database monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Experience with database migration strategies and tools.
