Job Description

Data engineers are at the forefront of revolutionizing how businesses harness and leverage data. As a data engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that drive informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming languages such as Python or PySpark, with hands-on experience in data processing and big data platforms like Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks. Proficiency in relational databases and SQL is also essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a significant advantage.

You will collaborate closely with data analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. This involves performing data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity. Additionally, you will optimize and troubleshoot performance issues in data processing jobs and implement data integration solutions for various sources.

As a data engineer, you will participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring that data workflows, systems, and best practices are well-documented. You will also contribute to the development of new features and enhancements, driving continuous improvement in data engineering capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a data developer
  • Proficient in Python and/or PySpark for data processing
  • Experience working with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage
