Cloud Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team.

This role involves designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with at least one of these cloud environments and intermediate knowledge of the other two platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate application requirements into cloud architecture/infrastructure
  • Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures
  • Select appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements
  • Migrate on-premises workloads to cloud service providers

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with public cloud infrastructure services for AWS, Microsoft Azure Services, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience hosting an application on GCP using Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancer, Cloud DNS, and Cloud CDN
  • Containerized Environment (EKS/AKS/GKE)
  • Advanced level hands-on knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, Route 53/DNS, Clustering (EKS and ECS), Log Management, and IAM
  • Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of Azure Compute Instances, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, VNet, Subnets, NSG/ASG, IAM, Azure RBAC, SSL, Traffic Manager, Azure DNS, and Load balancers
  • Advanced hands-on GCP Compute, Cloud Storage, GCP IAM, SSL Certs
  • A strong understanding of security best practices, including using IAM policies and roles, SSL, KMS, etc.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet/Chef, Unix/Linux, Windows basic administration, Service Now, Incident Management, Change Management, and other ITIL processes

Skill Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  2. 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to code to implement essential security measures

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with API usage, command-line interface, and SDKs for writing applications
  • Knowledge of IaC tools such as CloudFormation, JSON, YAML, or Terraform
  • Monitoring and auditing systems experience
