Cloud Engineer Position Overview

This is a cloud engineer position, focusing on cloud infrastructure build and development. As a senior consultant, you will lead the team in designing, deploying, and maintaining highly available and scalable GCP infrastructure to support applications and services.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect and implement secure, efficient, and cost-effective solutions on GCP, developing best practices for infrastructure as code, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines, and automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.

  • Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable GCP infrastructure to support applications and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and operations, to architect and implement secure, efficient, and cost-effective solutions on GCP.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for infrastructure as code, configuration management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot GCP infrastructure performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Implement security measures and best practices to protect data and infrastructure, including identity and access management, network security, and data encryption.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.

For this role, we require strong hands-on experience with ForgeRock/Ping IAM products, deep understanding of IAM architecture, integration methods, REST APIs, and directory services, and proven experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications in Kubernetes environments, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

The ideal candidate should have good understanding of authentication, authorization, MFA, SSO, federation, OAuth, OIDC, provisioning, reconciliation, proxy, and directory services concepts, along with knowledge of AD, LDAP, database integration, Java development experience for customizations and enhancements of IAM systems, and experience with API security and integration using JSON, REST, and web services.
