We are seeking a seasoned expert in Software Asset Management (SAM) with a deep understanding of open-source software and related contracts.

This mid-management role involves overseeing software asset management with a focus on open-source components, ensuring compliance, and optimizing usage.

While extensive legal expertise is not required, familiarity with open-source licensing and contract terms is crucial.

  • Software licensing and SAM IT networks, applications and infrastructure
  • Project Management Execution and delivery of client engagements
  • Manage client-facing delivery teams, leading and coaching more junior members
  • Foster and develop strong networks with key service line champions Review and apply licensing metrics to complex IT environments
  • Client-oriented, professional services mindset
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and take initiative/make decisions under pressure Understanding of IT Process, IT Infrastructure and related technologies
  • Ability to identify engagement issues/risks and pursue solutions with internal or external stakeholders
  • Works well in a diverse team and enjoys a dynamic environment where remote working is required
  • Highly competent at interpreting data, analyzing problems and formulating solutions to present to management level and above.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies, network topologies, software vendor license agreements and licensing terms
  • Interaction with software publishers for software license compliance & terms
  • Open Source Management: Oversee the inventory and tracking of open-source software, including understanding and applying open-source licenses and compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate/Post Graduate from a recognized University
  • Understanding and mastery of software licensing for big publishers like Microsoft, Oracle, VMware, SAP etc
  • Robust SAM experience
  • Ability to handle Software Audits independently
  • SAM Tool Knowledge (Service Now preferable), ELP Creation/License Compliance Position, Contract Management

Preferred qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Professional Big 4 experience and training 5-7 years of SAM or Post graduate degree or higher 4-5 years experience in IT or project management/service delivery, operational/software asset management or consulting
  • Legal Awareness: Basic knowledge of software licensing agreements and compliance standards.
