Job Title: Taxation Operations Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented tax professional to lead our taxation operations.

This strategic role requires in-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, excellent analytical abilities, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct Taxation:
    • Timely and accurate computation, payment, and filing of Income Tax returns, advance tax, and tax provisions.
    • Monitoring and managing TDS compliance, including payment, return filing (Form 26Q, 27Q), and 26AS reconciliations.
    • Handling tax assessments, appeals, and litigation with Income Tax Authorities.
    • Preparing and maintaining documentation for Tax Audit and facilitating statutory and internal audits.
  • Indirect Taxation:
    • Ensuring timely and correct GST filings (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C) and monthly/annual reconciliations.
    • Overseeing GST Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation and vendor compliance.
    • Managing GST audits, inquiries, and litigation, and representing the company before tax authorities.
    • Monitoring GST law changes and ensuring timely implementation of the same.
  • Transfer Pricing:
    • Coordinating preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation (Local file, Master file) in line with regulatory requirements.
    • Assisting in pricing intercompany transactions and benchmarking studies.
    • Supporting in handling TP audits and assessments and liaising with TP consultants.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensuring end-to-end tax compliance and maintaining up-to-date documentation and SOPs.
    • Providing support in monthly/quarterly/year-end closing, including tax provision working.
    • Monitoring tax risks and exposures and suggesting mitigation strategies.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws (Income Tax, GST, TDS, TP).
  • Hands-on experience with tax compliance tools and ERP systems.
  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including auditors, consultants, and authorities.
