Optimizing System Performance Specialist

The primary objective of this position is to ensure seamless system operation and high availability. Key responsibilities include identifying potential issues before they occur, monitoring system performance, and implementing solutions to optimize system efficiency.
This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve performance issues, as well as effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Competencies- Proficiency in observability tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, and Dynatrace
- Knowledge of modern observability practices including SRE, SLI/SLO, Synthetic, APM, RUM
- Scripting skills in Python, Shell, and PowerShell
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Ansible
- ITIL or similar ITSM framework knowledge
- ServiceNow ticketing system experience
- Agile framework experience including Jira and Confluence
- IT production backup and resilience setup experience
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts
- Basic RedHat Linux administration and performance management knowledge
- Ansible and Ansible Tower experience
- Containerization technologies experience including Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad, and OpenShift
- Cloud platform experience preferably on IBM Cloud
