Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role is a highly skilled cloud infrastructure professional responsible for the design, implementation, and support of cloud solutions. They will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud-based services. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions, including virtual machines, cloud services, and endpoint-based management.
• Implementing and administering virtual network manager and virtual network configurations.
• Providing prompt, professional remote support in a fast-paced environment.
• Responding quickly to support requests and managing these requests in the Help Desk ticketing system (Jira Service Manager).
• Collaborating with internal application development teams to implement consistent development and production environments leveraging DevOps best practices.
• Identifying recurring problems, working with the team to identify the root cause, and planning and executing the necessary steps to eliminate the possibility of reoccurrences.
• Assisting in the creation and expansion of internal IT knowledgebase documentation.
• Required to collaborate with team leads to build and uphold project plans, ensuring the infrastructure team's objectives are met.
• Accountable for planning and scheduling work in a way that optimizes productivity and minimizes stress.
• Required to demonstrate excellent time management skills, ensuring timely completion of tasks without compromising quality.
• Competent in leading and advising both the team and subordinates.
• Commitment to focus on the team's accomplishments.
• Provide mentoring and training to junior support staff.
• Provides support coverage during non-business hours if necessary (agreed with manager) to ensure progress toward resolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with cloud technologies (Microsoft) required.
• Prior IT help desk or similar cloud support experience is required.
• Hands-on knowledge of networking (VPN, firewalls, switching, load balancers, gateways, DNS, IP, CDN).
• Hands-on knowledge of network security and compliance (encryption, security audit) preferred.
• Experience supporting both Windows and Mac software environments.
• Exceptional documentation skills and attention to detail for documentation (design documentation, processes/procedures, environment diagrams) desired.
• Experience with Active Directory / Office365 / Azure AD / Entra management required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure environments required.
• Experience with virtualization solutions including Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware vSphere/vCenter.
• Desire to learn about other cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OCS).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science strongly preferred.
• Technical desired certification (e.g., A+, Network+, MCSA, GISF) recommended.
